I’ve been trying to spike a watermelon, but it was too juicy so it wasn’t accepting the alcohol. I had to cut into it, melon ball it & will add the alcohol in tomorrow after the balls dry out a bit (found this tip on the interwebs.) I will also be making a fruit salad with another watermelon, strawberries, blueberries, cherries, raspberries for the kidlets. Thinking I’m going to use a star cutter for the watermelon, love that idea! I’m also bringing veggies & homemade dip since I’m trying to eat healthy & hubby is smoking a pork butt for pulled pork. We’re having a neighborhood block party. Looking forward to it!

Gorgeous desserts- I especially love the ones with sparklers in them! Our dessert for the 4th is the same every year… I bake a cake and the kids all decorate it with strawberries and blueberries to look like a flag. It’s quick, easy, memorable for the kiddos, and delicious :) I love your list at the end of your post… hope you have a great 4th!!
