I've got a ton of photos of the back of my children — they love to run away from the camera… This book looks like it 'd be a lot of fun and maybe my kiddos would be willing to try some of the things they could see in the photos included…
LisaVH says
My biggest problem is finding a time when they BOTH are ready. My kids are 7 and 2 and there just never seems to be a time when they are both happy and cooperative. Its getting easier as they get older, but it has been a struggle to schedule with a photographer because you just never know. 😉
Deborah says
speed. that's my biggest challenge. my 17-month-old is mostly a blur in my photos of her!
Jenna says
I would love to win the book!
My biggest challenge is probably just getting the kiddos to be "comfortable" and "natural" in front of the camera.
Rachel says
Awesome! My biggest challenge is getting my almost-one-year old to look in my direction when I'm trying to take pictures . . . not even necessarily at the camera, I'd just like it if he weren't tearing away in the opposite direction as fast as possible 🙂
Sarah @ This Crazy Blessed Life says
I'd love to win! My biggest challenge is my four year old who thinks she's a model. I only get shots with her posing silly with her arm in the air or hands on her hips dramatically :-/
Heather says
Congrat's Sarah! Random, org has selected you as the Winner from this giveaway!!

Jennifer says
I have twin toddler girls and I can’t seem to ever have them smiling in the same direction let alone at the same place for one picture.
Tonia @ The Gunny Sack says
My biggest challenge is lighting. It seems like it is never just right or it isn't for long enough.
Amy says
My little girl is finally understanding what it means when we say "cheese" so now she gives us these big, totally staged smiles. Which are cute sometimes but I'd love to capture a natural smile. 🙂
Jessie Prince says
Well I dont have kids of my own yet… but I've taken to photographing my cousins and nephew! My problem is when they MOVE. They are constantly moving!! or pulling faces!
Christy says
My son poses so I can usually get great shots of him but my daughter moves constantly… even when saying cheese or "posing". I have the hardest time getting great pictures of her cute little self!
jenni says
my currecnt challenge is getting everyone to look at th camera at the same time…..oh and all smiling or happy at aswell.
fitri says
my biggest challenge right now is , my 5yo no longer want me take her picture ! she is no friendly with camera anymore, always say 'no more picture. please' :DD So what i can do right now, is take candid picture .. and most the time, i need to delete LOL..
Natasha says
My five year old nephew is so used to having a camera shoved in his face that he automatically puts on a goofy grin and says cheese! I would love to have this book to learn how to sneak up on him better! I do not have any children of my own (yet) but it would be a great asset to haev once I do!!
Erin says
When I try to get a picture of kids I find it so frustrating that they either put a silly smile on their face or a grumpy expression. It's funny and totally fits who they are but come on! I want a "normal face" just every now and then.
Emilee K. says
My biggest challenge is getting my dtr to smile!
Jody says
My biggest challenge in photographing my toddler is the camera itself. My kiddo loves the digital screen on the camera and is always dashing back to my side of the camera to see his photo before I've even had a chance to take one. I could use some good distraction tactics for sure.
james @ a girl called james says
I have been trying to get pictures of Zoe at the beach and pretty much all of them she has her head down looking at the sand. When we are at home I get her back. When I finally get a picture of her looking at me she's got her "cheese" face going. haha what's a mom to?
tamie says
my biggest challenge when photographing my boys (especially the older ones) is actually getting them to want to be in front of the camera. Usually I hear "we're just taking one picture right, mom? Just one." I have to sneak in more than just one — it can be challenging!
erin says
My hardest challenge is getting them to feel comfortable infront of the camera — that is why we usually try and do candid shots outdoors or someplace they like. I love pictures and the memories they create, so any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!
Tashia D says
My biggest problem is getting my 2-year-old to look at the camera. He is not at all interested in having his picture taken! I need all the tips I can get!
Brooke says
Getting all three of them in a picture without one looking like an alien or furious is my biggest challenge!
jamie says
my biggest challenge with my daughter right now is that she wants to grab the camera!! she's almost 7 months old and teething and wants to put everything (seriously, EVERYTHING) in her mouth… as soon as i try to take out the camera, she is clamoring for it!
Bryndis says
They always turn out to have frozen smiles, that is IF I get the front of them at all!
Ellie A. says
For me my are of different ages so they are in different stages my 4 yr. old little girl gives me the "fake smile" I have to take at least 20 pics before I catch a real smile its funny I never say "cheese" but she does.. oh the funny takes they make! Then my 8 yr.old who is my silly boy.. My pictures are blurry not because of him but me because I am laughing and telling him to stay still THEN I have my 12 about to turn 13 next month son.. Need I say more? He has the most beautiful smile.. when I have caught it.. Just one picture w/a smile is well a workout! So if I would win this I think I would do a SUPER Flip dont' you think I need it? Thanks so much for the chance!
Heidi D says
I take so many photos of my girls that my 2.5 year old gets really sick of the camera. She usually will stop whatever I'm trying to photograph her doing and put her hand up in the air. Otherwise, she gives me super cheesy smiles. It's hard to get some natural, in the moment shots!
Briana says
What a great giveaway!! My biggest challenge right now ist he toddler grimace! I tried to take my sons photo about 10 times yesterday, trying to get a smile that didn't look like a grimace. The face is so cute and make sme laugh, but sometimes I just wish for a smile. Also, after every picture I take my 2 year old wants to see the picture, so before the picture is even taken, she's rushing for the camera. She's adorable but also hard to photograph!! =)

My biggest challenge is trying to get my 1 year old to look somewhere other than down at the ground. There are times that hes just too fascinated with the sidewalk, dirt..etc that I can't get a very good angle or shot of his face.
Jacqueline says
My biggest challenge with taking pictures of my son is that he is constantly in motion and running all over the place! Gives Mom a good workout 🙂
Makenzie says
Ugh! Lighting is my downfall. I could really use some expertise in this area. Thanks!
Dori says
I would love to have this beautiful book! My greatest challenge in photographing my infant is that he/she is still inside the womb 🙂 I would love to read up on tips before the birth though. Thanks so much.
Digital Printing says
I also had days like that, my hard drive also crashed and I did not know what to do. I felt so helpless during that time. Anyway, I have kids both are 3 years old. I'm having a problem whenever I take a picture of them, they don't always look at the camera. Oh my!
Jessica Vines says
such a neat book…biggest challenge for me is when the kids dont want to look at the carmera always looking away….trying to get there attention or standing in the spot you want
Trulie says
Catching the moment on film before it passes, and my son always looks solumn, straight faced or really goofy forced silly face. He is nearly three and always seems aware when I whip out the camera.
graphic design gallery says
I think the concept is brilliant. This would be a wonderful remembrance to those young ones when they grow up. And I think the biggest challenge in photographing the kids is when I can't create a story out of it. When I think the shots were pretty boring.
Tiffany lagrange says
My biggest challenge is getting my two year old to stay a decent distance from the camera and not trying to grab it. So many shots with a giant chubby hand in the foreground!
Alicia B says
I don't have any kids of my own yet but when trying to take photos on my nieces, they move around so much and it's hard to get them in a good position and hold it.
Priscila M says
My issue when photographing my friends' kids is trying to get a genuine smile. At times if the parents are around the kids will give their standard 'cheese' smile (which sometimes looks like they have to 'go'). Sometimes parents don't like their kids genuine smile. I've been told, 'but she smiles funny'. I just reply, but you can tell in her smile and eyes, she's having a good time.
Becki says
What an adorable looking book…I'd love it!
My biggest issue is that they have been photographed from the moment out of the womb – which means they are so used to it, I can't get spontaneous photos or they now hide their faces! My granddaughter is the same way, and she has developed her cheesy smile for the photos too…it is actually hilarious, but I would love some natural photos of her too! LOL
Thanks for the chance!!!
katherine says
My biggest issue is getting my toddler in focus — he's fast! 🙂
Kimberly says
I need this book!! It looks awesome!
My biggest challenge is trying to get my 6 kids all looking in the same direction and trying to get them all looking happy or at least not making weird faces at the same time. It's not an easy task!
Susie says
Although I'm following anonymously, I've now become a follower of your blog. My biggest challenge of trying to photograph children, like many others have said, is to get my children, ages 1 and 6, to stay still long enough and to both look at me at the same time in order to take their picture. I've taken their picture so much since they've been born that they now turn away and/or run from me when I've got my camera out. Not only would winning a copy of this book help me with photographing my own children, it would be a tremendous asset in helping me to learn more as I start my own photography business.
Sara K {SaigeWisdom} says
Oh where do I start? Saige can't seem to sit still, doesn't want to look at the camera and pouts… not the recipe for Christmas card worthy photos 😉 Hopefully this giveaway is open to Canadians?
Andrea Crump says
My biggest challenge is getting my 7 year old daughter to let me take a picture of her. Ever since she was a little tiny thing she did not want her pic taken. It drives us CRAZY!!
Jen Bitondo says
My biggest problem is with my 3 year old "over-posing" for the pictures! She doesn't quite understand that I don't want a chipmunk face for EVERY picture 😉
Shirley L says
I have lots of challenges when photographing my children but my biggest is getting totally fake, overdone smiles from them (and then they squint their eyes) – please help! 🙂
