Now I’m Dreaming of Cake

0 · Aug 19, 2010 · 3 Comments

I found this AMAZING cake artist the other day.  Her name is Maggie LaBaugh from Magpie Cakes and she creates beautiful works of art in the Washington D.C. area.  Ahh, to live in D.C. and to plan a magical wedding with a Magpie Cake.  I’m happily married so it will have to be for someone else.  Any takers?  You won’t even have to pay me, I’ll do it for free!

Aren’t they Heavenly?

They are exquisite! I'm having trouble looking at them directly! They are too beautiful. I don't know if I would survive actually seeing one in person.

My favorite is the top left hand corner cake. The one that looks all lacy. It's gorgeous! But I wonder, How do they TASTE?! Because some of the fanciest looking cakes tend to be the lousiest tasting ones. 😉

How do they do that laciness? Is it edible? Because it looks so much like lace I'm fascinated to find out how they create such confections! Wow, wow! Love it!
