Basic Grey Baby & Child | Giveaway

0 · May 21, 2012 · 75 Comments

Happy Monday everyone!! I have a couple of fun giveaways this week, I'm so excited!!  This first is one that I am thrilled to share with you.  Many of you may be aware of Basic Grey the amazing design company that sells stylish paper products, scrapbooking & craft supplies.  Did you know that they sell even more than that? They have a Basic Grey Baby & Child Shop that is just to die for!!

They sent me one of their swaddling cloth sets for me to check out and I just fell in love. I've been a fan of the 100% cotton muslins blankets that are so popular right now with Moms. They are just the perfect baby blanket.  They are the right size for swaddling and not too heavy so the baby doesn't sweat like crazy.  They are perfect for the baby on the go, easy to travel with a doubles as a great clean-up cloth if needed.  I just love them.

Until now, the patterns for these cotton muslin blankets have been pretty simple with basic animals and simple stripes primarily.  Basic Grey has taken the swaddling blanket to the next stylish level!!

Isn't the design just lovely? Here is the second blanket in the set…

I just love the stylish pattern for each of the sets.  These would be the BEST baby shower gifts ever!! Check out the fun detail…

Here are some more great Basic Grey Baby products…

They have these amazing storage bins that are perfect for organizing your child's room that I just LOVE.  They also have fun iron-on ties and lace collars to dress up your stylish little baby's onesie.

And they have the cutest little games to play with your inquisitive toddler or preschooler…

Basic Grey would like to giveaway one swaddling set for one of you guys… my favorite WhipperBerry friends!! All you have to do is follow the steps within the Rafflecopter widget. If you are using an iPad the widget may not appear, so you may need to use a computer instead, sorry!!

I have another fun giveaway later this week that I know you are going to LOVE too!!  To find out who won last weeks Kaboo Bags giveaway, head on over to the post to see if you are one of the two lucky winners!!

Kaboo Bags | Giveaway

0 · May 14, 2012 · 68 Comments

Have you met the new girl on the block? Her name is Kaboo and she is DARLING!! Seriously… I was introduced to Kaboo bags a few weeks ago at SNAP!  and I have long since fallen in love!

If you haven't met the Kaboo brand of tech bags let me introduce you. Kaboo bags are a new line of stylish and feminine handbags that have a hidden tech pouch that is perfect for your iPad, Kindle or any kind of tablet or small laptop.  They have four styles…

While I was at SNAP! I had the chance to look at all four of the bags and check out all of their features.  They are high quality bags made with finest materials and have been thought out very carefully.  I've had the chance to take the Olivia for a test drive now for a week or so… I LOVE THIS BAG!!!

I wish you could feel it.  It's made of fabulous soft leather and has the most amazing functionality of any bag that I have found lately.  Inside the bag has a padded pocket with a magnetic snap to secure your tablet in place.

Notice the fun chevron lining inside the bag… love it! The bag is spacious enough for me to not only carry along my iPad and wallet, but I have room enough to bring my little guys necessities along with me as well.

He's two… and and being a two-year old he still requires diapers, wipes, sippy cups and various little toys to keep him entertained while on the go.  They all fit in the bag along with MY necessities. The side pocket is perfect for his sippy cup and my diaper pouch from The Pleated Poppy fits nicely inside the spacious bag.

The Olivia has so many pockets, it impossible to not be organized with this bag.  It has two side pockets that have elastic at the top of the pocket to keep your items secured in the bag.  It also has a larger front pocket that has elastic at the top as well that is perfect for sunglasses and keys.  I will never have to dig around in my bag looking for keys ever again.

On the inside of the bag, opposite from the tech pouch, you will find several pockets perfect for your phone, lip gloss, pens you name it.  It also has a zippered pocket for the little things that you would like to keep hidden away.  All in all, this is the PERFECT bag.  The only thing that would make it ever more perfect was to include another padded section for my camera… now that would make my day!

I've dressed mine up with the Bouffant flower applique from Whippy Cake which I adore. Not that the bag needs it, it just makes me happy.

The fabulous folks over at Kaboo have generously offered TWO KABOO BAGS for two lucky WhipperBerry friends!!  Use the Rafflecopter widget to enter the giveaway

Good luck… I know you guys are going to love these bags!!

disclosure | I did receive a bag from Kaboo in order to review the bag.  I did not receive payment for this post and the views and opinions are my own.

Learn the Art of Digital Design with Jessica Sprague | Giveaway

0 · May 8, 2012 · 78 Comments

I have been recently introduced to a fabulous online learning site that I adore!! Many, many moons ago I was a scrapbooker. I hoarded paper and embellishment like they were life sustaining materials. I would pull out all of my supplies and my house would be over taken with buttons and brads, pens and chalk, stamps and ink… whatever the hot scrapbooking trend was at the time.  A few years later I discovered that you could digitally scrapbook and my life completely changed!! I loved that I could still create the same look with just a click of my mouse and a little digital creativity. I loved that my house no longer had to look like a craft store tornado and just come through every weekend.  The issue, there was a bit of a learning curve involved with figuring out this new digital medium.  I learned on Photoshop elements with the slow, trial by error method.  How happy I would have been if I would have had Jessica Sprague come to my rescue!!

What is JessicaSprague.com?

JessicaSprague.com is a fabulous online digital art classroom.  They teach classes in Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Adobe Illustrator and now they even have classes for the Silhouette!!!

Haven't you ALWAYS wanted to learn how to use these powerful tools? I know I have! Even though I feel pretty comfortable with some of these programs, I know that I don't use them to their full potential. This would be a great way to start from the beginning if you are new to the software or take some more advanced classes just to sharpen your skills. The classes are on your own time and self paced.  You can start and stop the video and practice the skill you've just learned so you know you've mastered it before you move on. Not only that, but if you have questions they have a fabulous forum that you can pop into and ask away, plus a fun gallery to share your work with others who have taken the class.

My Class Experience

I had the opportunity to take the Silhouette classes over the weekend and I LOVED them!! I was shocked that even in the very first lesson, an old Silhouette veteran like myself… LEARNED SOMETHING NEW!!

The class was so easy to follow with a very talented and knowledgeable instructor named Kerri Bradford…

Of Kerri Bradford Studio fame… She is one talented lady! She takes you step by step, on how to get to know your Silhouette. It doesn't matter if you have a CAMEO or an older version. She makes sure that everyone learns how to use their machine. The videos are clear and very well laid out, plus they are visually appealing {that's a big deal to me!}

Here is what Lesson One looks like and a brief overview of what you cover…

And a quick little snip of the beginning of the video… isn't it pretty?

The nice thing about these classes are that they are very affordable. The beginning class is $25 and the more advanced class is $30.  A steal really!  Think of all the wonderful things you can do with your Silhouette if you COULD JUST FIGURE OUT HOW!! I know I was in that boat… and YES, I'm a seasoned veteran.

The Giveaway

The lovely folks at Jessica Sprague have generously offered BOTH Silhouette classes for one lucky WhipperBerry reader. So, if you're one of the thousands who have reciently purchased a Silhouette {no matter what model} or know someone who has, this giveaway is for you!! Here's what you need to do to enter…

Make sure you head over to JessicaSprague.com and check out all of the fabulous things they have there.  They also have wonderful digital library that you can purchase for all your digital designing needs. Don't forget to come back tomorrow… a little bird has told me that we are going to have another great Silhouette DEAL!!

Signs by Andrea | Giveaway

1 · Apr 24, 2012 · 98 Comments

I have a fabulous giveaway for you guys today from one of my favorite shops, Signs by Andrea.

I LOVE Andrea's take on the wood sign. They are simple and yet so complex.  The above sign is one that she made for me and I love how she lets some of the natural wood shine through by using the negative stencil process for the "T" and then hand painting the family name above it. I was so excited when I received the sign because I had the PERFECT place for it!

I had been working on creating a gallery wall for my living room {here is a little sneak peek} and I had this amazing frame from my Great Aunt that I just loved, but I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it. That was until I received Andrea's sign and it was PERFECT!!! I was sooooo excited when I put the whole thing up and just sat staring at it in awe.  Andrea's sign took a generic gallery wall and made it something special.

You have to go check out her site, Signs by Andrea and see all of her fun creations. She has the wood signs plus a fun printable sign section that I just love called (de)Signs. Here is a lovely printable that she created for me with all of our families special dates on it…

How fun is that? Andrea has generously donated ONE Monogram with Name Overlay Wood Sign {valued at $40} and TWO Special Dates signs {valued at $9 each} for three lucky WhipperBerry readers!!!

Here is what you need to do to enter…
