Our family has accepted the Ponderize challenge from our Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saint’s Annual General Conference yesterday (October 2015) from Devin G. Durrant. What does it mean to PONDERIZE?
To Ponderize is 80% extended pondering and 20% memorization of our scriptures.
It’s not just memorizing, it’s taking time to think about what the Lord would have us learn from the verse. It’s not hard, and even the kiddos can do it. Tonight for Family Home Evening our family is going to work on our verse for this week, Matthew 5:16… “Let your Light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
You can join us!!
It doesn’t matter what religion you are, let’s bring a little light into this world. Print the verse each week and take time to ponder about it’s meaning and then commit it to memory.
I have created a large 8 1/2 x 11 graphic along with a 4×6 graphic that you can print and place in strategic places around your home. Hopefully we can grow closer to our Heavenly Father, closer to our families and to our communities by PONDERIZING the scriptures!3
