Protein Power Packed Overnight Oatmeal Recipe

Jif-Peanut-Butter-Fruity-Overnight-Oatmeal-from-WhipperBerry-13

We LOVE overnight oatmeal at our house! My older kiddos love to mix up their own the night before and then they have their perfect breakfast ready for them in the morning. You can eat them hot or cold so they are PERFECT! Here’s one of our favorite recipes.

Author: Heather // WhipperBerry
Cuisine: Breakfast
Serves: 1-2
Ingredients
  • ½ cup old fashioned rolled-oats
  • ½ cup vanilla yogurt
  • ¼ cup pecans
  • ¼ cup fresh blueberries and raspberries
  • large spoonful of Jif® Maple Flavored Peanut Butter Spreads
  • 1 tsp. chia seeds
  • 1 - 1½ cups milk - basically cover what's in your jar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon honey
Instructions
  1. In a large jar, layer your ingredients starting with about a ½ a cup of old fashioned rolled oats.
  2. Then add about a ½ a cup of your favorite yogurt,
  3. Your favorite nuts. We like pecans at our house.
  4. Then we top with some fruit that is full of antioxidants.
  5. Blueberries and raspberries are perfect. Next add a spoonful of either Cinnamon or Maple Jif® flavored Peanut Butter Spreads.
  6. I also like to add a few chia seeds as well.
  7. Doesn't it already look divine?
  8. Now cover with your favorite kind of milk. You can use cow's milk or your favorite almond, coconut or soy milks.
  9. I also top with a little honey and vanilla extract.
  10. Gently stir your ingredients, top with a lid and place in the fridge overnight.
  11. In the morning, you'll have a lovely jar full of yummy oatmeal ready and waiting for you. I LOVE to eat it cold, but you can pop it into the microwave for a minute or so to warm it up if you like yours hot. Either way tastes great!
