Goldfish Games • Tasty Road Trip Game Fun

14 · Feb 26, 2019 · Leave a Comment

This post has been sponsored by Goldfish® Crackers. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Road trip season is going to be here before we know it! Now’s the time to start preparing some fun activities that your littles will love in the car for those long hours. I know, I know… We all have our digital devices, and road trips aren’t as tedious as they were in the past. I have even found myself telling my kiddos, “we will be there in about 3 movies.” Akkkk, for real? Have we all become so attached to our devices that we’ve lost the magic of a FUN road trip with the family? I sure hope not! We used to have all kinds of road trip games when I was little, and the best were the ones that also involved a snack. Do you know what’s perfect for road trip games? Goldfish® Baked Snack Crackers! They have all kinds of magic in those cute little bags. Today, I’m sharing a couple of fun road trip games that are packed with Goldfish FUN inside. I know, I know, we aren’t supposed to play with our food, but these games are just as fun as they are delicious! Baked with 100% real cheese and with no artificial flavors or preservatives, this is a snack you can feel good about serving your kids!

Road Trip Games

Two road trip staples are Tic-Tac-Toe and BINGO of course. How many times did you play these gems as a child? What I’ve done is kicked it up a notch and added some tasty fun to go along with the games. I grabbed some travel containers from my local discount store and then added vinyl (click HERE if you would like to learn how to apply vinyl) to the lid using my electronic cutting machine. Come watch this cute video that I’ve created to show you how fun Goldfish® games can be…

Any of that look familiar? Well, you can create some road trip games of your own. Grab some to-go containers and either draw on the lids with a permanent marker or, if you have a die-cutting machine and some vinyl, you can use my cut files to make some Goldfish® Games of your own. CLICK HERE to access the design files.

Goldfish® Bingo • Travel Size

Once you add your vinyl or your own hand-drawn design, all you have to do is fill your containers with yummy Goldfish®. I love that they are made with whole grain, real cheese & the colors are all plant based—which I LOVE.

Now, when your kiddos are getting restless in the car, all you need to do is pass them these Goldfish® games and they will have all kinds of fun with you playing tic-tac-toe or trying to find that cow so that you can win travel Bingo!

The New Year always brings on the organization bug… I have it for sure! I hit up Michaels the other day looking for stylish ways to get my office organized. To be fair, I don’t really have an office, my “office” is my kitchen table and the space around my kitchen table. It’s out where everyone can see my creative mess therefore, I need to find a stylish way to keep it nice and tidy. Here’s what I came up with…

Stylish Organization Ideas for my “Office”

The New Year always brings on the organization bug... I have it for sure! I hit up Michaels the other day looking for stylish ways to get my office organized. To be fair, I don't really have an office, my "office" is my kitchen table and the space around my kitchen table. It's out where everyone can see my creative mess therefore, I need to find a stylish way to keep it nice and tidy. Here's what I came up with...

My kitchen has always been my office… It’s where I work my magic. It’s my photo studio, my creative space, my office, where I entertain and where I feed my family. Therefore, the way I use to organize my tools of the trade needs to be tidy, portable & stylish.  Here is a video that I put together to show you how I create the perfect little space to organize all of my odds & ends.

I thought it turned out super cute! Ok, stylish… not just cute. Creating a station that is super functional was very important to me. A place that doesn’t just get cluttered-up and then written off as another messy place to have to clean and ORGANIZE. I love that when I’m wanting to entertain, these four Lexington carts can be rolled into the laundry room and then my kitchen is nice and tidy for our guests. Here’s what you’ll need to create your stylish organization station.

  • Enamel Tabletop Magazine Organizer
  • Small galvanized tabletop box
  • Large galvanized tabletop box
  • Lexington Cart – black
  • Lexington Cart topper – white
  • Cricut Explore Air 2 – Sunflower
  • Premium Vinyl – permanent- White & Black
  • White cardstock
  • Cricut pens – black
  • WhipperBerry Cricut cut files

This project is super easy, if you watch the video it will show you exactly how to create a space like this for yourself. Plus, as an added bonus, I’m sharing my Cricut Design Space files that are fully editable so you can create the exact same look for your space. Here are some tips on how to apply vinyl if you’re new to vinyl.  The rest is super easy!

I love how each cart has a different purpose. I have my office cart, my plant lady cart and then my creative carts full of my favorite craft supplies. Let’s see what kind of stylish spaces you create!! Tag me on Instagram @whipperberry to show me what you’ve created.

Macrame Autumn Door Hanging

7 · Sep 17, 2018 · Leave a Comment

We’ve kind of fallen in love with the macrame trend at our house lately. We made a HUGE macrame celebration arch for my daughter Haley’s wedding a few weeks ago and I then felt inspired to make a macrame Autumn door hanging for my front entry for the impending season change. Oh, Autumn… You truly are my favorite!!

We've kind of fallen in love with the macrame trend at our house lately. We made a HUGE macrame celebration arch for my daughter Haley's wedding a few weeks ago and I then felt inspired to make a macrame Autumn door hanging for my front entry for the impending season change. Oh, Autumn... You truly are my favorite!!

I’m going to date myself here, I’m not old enough to remember the first macrame trend in the 1970’s. However, I do remember the aftermath of that trend. Garage sales full of macrame goods looking desperately for a new home. Needless to say, when the Boho trend started a new a few years ago, I kind of chuckled a bit when macrame returned in fashion. Then my little side chuckles disappeared and I kind of fell in love with the look. Like fell hard… I want to macrame all the things now. My Macrame pinboard has gone nuts with all of the fun macrame projects I would like to tackle.

Macrame Autumn Door Hanging Supplies

Of course, when it came time to stock up on supplies I ran to Michaels my go-to supply store. They have everything you need to make all things macrame, fall decor & blank surfaces for signs. I especially love that you can order online and pick-up easily at the store. I save so much time just placing my order online and then my husband or daughter can run over and grab my supplies when they are out and about. We no longer have frustrating phone calls with my husband trying to find something at Michaels only to have him come home with the wrong item or not enough for what I need. I have the isles memorized but he sure doesn’t! It’s also nice to tack a pick-up to another errand without having to spend too much time walking through the store. Yep, I’m a big fan!

  • Cotton Rope
  • a branch from your yard or, wood dowel
  • square 9×9 galvanized metal sign
  • 1-2 Fall floral picks
  • scissors
  • wire cutters
  • hot glue gun and hot glue
  • Cricut Premium Vinyl
  • Cricut cutting machine

Instructions

For this project, I’m not going to share a tutorial for the macrame. Now don’t worry, I have you covered. I’m going to send you over to A Beautiful Mess to share the tutorial that I used to learn how to macrame. Seems only fair, right?

My neighbors were trimming their trees and I found a fun branch that would be perfect for a macrame door hanging and asked if I could snag it. I scaled down the macrame project from the curtain with 15 sections to 5 sections and set to work.

Next, I cut the vinyl for the sign part of the door hanging with my Cricut Maker. You can even use my design if you’d like in Cricut Design Space. I then affixed the vinyl to the galvanized metal sign base.

I originally started with white vinyl and it didn’t stand out as I had hoped on the galvanized metal. So, I switched to some black vinyl to go with my door. You may want to try a different color that fits the color of your entryway.

Then I used my wire cutters and cut sections of the Fall floral picks of the pick and hot glued them onto the galvanized metal. Then I hot glued the metal sign onto the macrame and that was it. I had a perfect door hanger to use in Autumn.
