My Updated Christmas Tree with #SearsRealCheer & Friday Flair

0 · Dec 8, 2011 · 22 Comments

A couple of weeks ago I told you guys about a fun shopping trip (click on the shopping trip link to see my Google+ shopping trip) that I had at Sears looking to give my tree a makeover. Well as promised here are some pictures of my newly made over tree…

Holiday Decorating | Keeping it Simple and Meaningful

0 · Dec 8, 2011 · 2 Comments

A few years ago my family had the opportunity to travel to Germany and France over the Holidays. At the time we only had the three girls and they were ages 11, 7 & 4. They were still pretty young. We were going to be there for the whole month of December and were lucky enough to have a house to stay in rather than a cramped hotel room. This was a blessing and a curse at the same time. Million Moms Challenge | Do you BABY your Baby?

0 · Dec 6, 2011 · 1 Comment

Some of the greatest advice that I received after the birth of my first child was… Don’t over BABY your baby.  I wish I could kiss the woman who gave me this little treasure. {Here is my little guy having some independant play time when he was little.}

Christmas Tree Decorating with Sears

1 · Nov 25, 2011 · 8 Comments

It's that time again, that magical time of year when we get to transform our homes into lovely winter wonderlands. Our family tradition is to break out the tree on Thanksgiving.  My sweet husband works on the tree while I work on the Thanksgiving feast.  Early this week I was thinking about our decorations and came to a crazy conclusion… my tree trimmings are seriously out of date!

{Here is a picture of my tree a few years ago… I bit out of date even then!}

After Mike and I were married eleven years ago I started to slowing build a collection of tree trimmings thinking that that was the best route to take. A little at a time, piece by piece I would after a couple of years have a beautiful Christmas tree. Theoretically a great idea.  The one flaw… trends change.  I have a beautiful red and gold themed tree, but I'm just not feeling it this year.
