Eeeeek, it’s time for FRIDAY FLAIR!!! I can’t tell you how much I’ve missed Friday Flair over the past few weeks.  I know that I said that I would come back way before this but, let’s just say… the move didn’t really go as planned.

Word of caution, don’t EVER rent a house sight unseen. Yes, I know that should go without saying. I thought things would go alright, I like to think the best of people, I had good vibes and I was wrong.  We arrived and the place was a disaster. I know it’s totally our fault for not taking the time to come out here to hunt for a house in person, but quite frankly, we just didn’t have the time.  Lesson learned… Won’t do that again!  We are making the best of things and counting down the days until our lease is up.  With this being our very first rental experience we are a little freaked out. But enough about me…

  12. Sorry about the rental! I can’t imagine how stressful moving to another state would be then to have to deal with a a wreck of a rental! Thanks for hosting the party!

  17. Thanks so much for hosting! Sorry your move didn’t go well. I’ve moved my fair share of long distance moves and never had one that went smoothly. I think it might just be the nature of the beast. Sorry your house isn’t a good fit. Hopefully you can move on again soon. Glad to have you back.

  27. Hope you’re feeling settled there in your new place! And it sounds like your experience was not fun! We had trouble renting a place when we moved out here…and we even saw it first! Walked through with the property manager and she said “the owner will be back to clean this all up” The bathroom had toothpaste junk all over the mirror, and leftover soap, shampoo and scrubbies on the floor of the shower. When we came back to move in, of course none of it had been cleaned up. I was not happy (they sent people over to clean it a couple days later) But it still sounds like yours was worse!
