Friday Flair Link Party /// Blueberry Truffle Tartlet Edition

0 · Aug 16, 2012 · 31 Comments

Wowza… it’s late! The good news, It’s even closer to FRIDAY! I’ve been madly working on getting the kiddos ready for the first day of school, planning for the blog while I’m away and getting ready for Hawaii.  CRAZY!! My Honey left for the islands last Sunday so I’ve also been doing all that while flying solo. No worries, I’m almost finished and then it’s nine days of rest and relaxation on Kauai.  If any of you have been there and have great suggestions for some hidden gems on Kauai I would LOVE to hear them. We are leaving our kiddos with some of our favorite friends on the planet so my family planner is going to come in handy.  So glad I already have that ready to go!

Now, on to this weeks inspiration photo.  It comes to us from Love & Olive Oil…

Don’t they just look delightful? I’m going to have to add this to my must try list. I can’t say I’ve ever thought of putting blueberries with chocolate, but I don’t see why not. Have any of you guys tried something like this? I would love to hear your thoughts.

Now it’s time for you to dazzle everyone with your genius…

It’s time for Friday Flair!

Oh, you are going to LOVE Hawaii!! We went there back before we had kids…when we could actually take vacations! ;0) I don’t know if you can get to Maui, but my favorite memory was the Road to Hana. It is a driving tour, with so many amazing and gorgeous things to see. Have a fabulous time!

can’t wait to try the no bake tartlet! I linked up an easy Apple Clafoutis — perfect served cold for breakfast or warm as a dessert. Enjoy

I grew up in Hawaii, so if you need any pointers, let me know 🙂 In Kauai, watch out for chickens and buy cat treats. Trust me!
Thanks for hosting. Have a super time soaking up the sun!

Thanks for hosting each week! I’m so jealous, you’re going to Hawaii! I was there 30 years ago and it was the big Island and Oahu that I got to visit. The only suggestion I have for you is, talk to the locals, your waitress, the bartender, and ask them for their favorite spots! I expect to see lots of photos when you get back. Have a great time!

I 1,000 percent recommend getting the Kauai Revealed Guidebook. We used the maui version and our most memorable adventures and eating came from that. I really can’t say enough about it!
