It’s Official… My Silhouette has a Name

Sophie 002 copy

My sweet husband gave me a Silhouette for Christmas, and in true EllieG style, I baptized her Sophie. Then, the other day, I realized the girl needed some INK!  So, using the Silhouette software, I was able to create a vinyl cutting straight from the fonts of my computer!!  Gotta say, so far that is my FAVORITE feature!!

So, now it’s official…

Sophie, my love, welcome to the family!!

    Love it! Naming appliances is the way to go – Lucy is my Silhouette, and Shirley is my sewing machine. Still working on a name for my laminator. 🙂

    Love your vinyl – I need to do that for Lucy, she is so naked!

    How could I NOT love this? I mean….seriously….you added vinyl to her. When I glanced at it, I thought you wrote on it with a sharpie. And I thought, man, that was brave. I love that it's vinyl. That font is super cool!

    Sophie. We almost named my daughter that. Love it!

    Don't you think Sophie and Miss Scarlett would get along? 🙂

    I put a vinyl flower and rhinestones on mine … I thought it was naked as well. I'm still working on a name though. Love the "ink" 🙂

    I think little Sophie and Miss Scarlett, Lucy,Ella Marie and Freda need to get together for a playdate! OhYouStupidThing needs to stay home and work on his manners.

    @Tara the font is called Jellyka-Estrya's Handwriting…weird I know!

    kisses all…now go have fun with your lovely ladies!

    the naming of equipment is great. i named my computer (rex,( as well as two other previous computers) percy & chandler) and my circuit "bugg" and my new terabyte external drive "sharkie" and also Xyron named pinkie… naming things gives it personality. My boyfriend thinks its insane, he says soon he's gonna come home and find our couch, fridge and stove named. Now (well for a while now) i too want a silhouette to name and create with…. this is such a girl thing eh.

Not all holiday gifts need to be ooey gooey sweet. Savory holiday gifts are just as lovely, sometimes even more so. I personally have been off sugar for 3 months now and I’m really nervous for the holiday season to arrive. Having the house fill up with sweets is NOT what I’m wishing for this Christmas. I would LOVE to get one of these Ball® Sharing Jar soup mixes as a gift. Not only are they soothing to the soul, but they are also good for you as well. - WhipperBerry @ballcanning #soupinajar #printabletags #souprecipe

Soup Mix Sharing Jars

This year, I’m working on all kinds of fun gifts for the Holidays that will look spectacular gifted inside of a jar. One of my favorites is the White Chocolate Ginger Scone Mix in a jar. It’s really easy to put together a whole bunch of these gifts and really not expensive at all. It’s always a bonus to save a little money during the holidays. @ballcanning #giftsinajar #neighborgifts #teachergifts #sconeinajar

As much as we hate to admit it, cold and flu season is on its way. There is nothing more miserable than one of those lousy winter colds. What’s almost just as bad is watching someone you care for dealing with a cold or, Heaven forbid, the flu! I’m always looking for ways to help cheer them up and let them know that we love them and hope for their better health. That’s when I came up with this idea for a Cold and Flu Rescue Kit to share with those loved ones that are suffering. • WhipperBerry

Not to knock commercially prepared applesauce, but when you have the opportunity to enjoy homemade applesauce, you will know the difference. It’s sweet and tangy with the perfect texture. Not to mention the fact that it harmonizes well with many different notes on your palette AND, it’s super easy to make! #applesauce #applesaucerecipe #homemadeapplesauce
