Red and Blue Mini-Dessert Table

0 · Jul 21, 2010 · 13 Comments

In an effort to give my sister a taste of what I love to do in life, we created a mini-dessert table together.  She made a comment about half-way through our escapade that it was a lot more work than what she expected, and the woman speaks the truth.  Dessert tables are time consuming, but for me, the reward far outweighs the work.

The color choices were inspired by Glory of
Glorious Treats.  I think these colors are so very summery.  They make me want to sip a lemonade while wearing a floppy sun hat.

Very cute. Those colors must be in right now, they were my cousins wedding colors this summer. My favorite part is the cake, very fancy.

Hi Whitney! Great tables, and photos! I am trying to start a 'moonlighting' dessert table design business currently in Maine (more for fun/creative flow than anything else). I am wondering who takes your photos. I have found that to be the most challenging part. My digital camera does not do the tables justice…Do you have a professional quality camera? How do you recommend taking quality photos of your work? Any insight would be awesome!

    Thanks,
    Sarah

    Hi, Sarah!

I actually have Heather take my pictures for me. She has a professional camera, and believe me, it makes ALL the difference. A regular digital camera really can't do justice for the most fabulous dessert table. If you have questions about Heather's photography techniques, what kind of camera she uses, etc. feel free to email her at [email protected]. I know she would be thrilled to answer your questions!
