Snowflake Art | Tutorial

3 · Dec 14, 2011 · 2 Comments

Earlier this month I created a guest post for the lovely ladies from The Letter 4 while they were having a ball meeting Martha on the Martha Stewart show.  Just in case you missed it here is the Snowflake Art that I shared over there.

I am one of those displaced snow bunnies!  I grew up in Colorado skiing and loving everything that winter brought with it. For the past eight years I've been living in Las Vegas  and I can count the amount of times I've seen snow on one hand. So… When the girls invited me over I knew I wanted to create a project to add a little snow to my life!

I took my inspiration from a fabulous project that I found on Pinterest  from the Ballard Bunch. It was a simple snowflake made from craft sticks and it was stunning!!  I decided to take the humble craft stick and create a fun wall or door display using some chargers from the dollar store, some ribbon, paint and sprinkle of SNOW!

Holiday Felted Wool Garland | Tutorial

44 · Nov 27, 2011 · 30 Comments

I hope everyone had a fabulous Holiday!  Mine was filled with food and family and it was lovely. I missed Friday Flair and all your amazing talents and can't wait to see what you've whipped up later this week!

Today, I have an oldie, but a goodie.  We posted this tutorial for how to make a felted wool garland back in September at According to Kelly and I thought I would post it again today just in case you missed it. This is one of my all time favorites!!

There's a lot of buntings and garlands going on in the party world right now, and I thought I would share with all of you how to make a garland out of wool! It's a little more unconventional than your traditional paper garland, and it will definitely last a whole lot longer than paper will (I don't know about your kids, but a paper garland wouldn't last long in my house). Best of all, it's easy and fast!

The Candy Cane Wreath

54 · Nov 16, 2011 · 45 Comments

A few weeks ago I participated in I Heart Nap Time's Crazy Christmas Crafter event with my Candy Cane Wreath.  Just in case you missed it… here it is!

Hello all you Crazy Christmas Crafters!  I'm Heather from WhipperBerry and I am thrilled to come and hang out with you guys here at I Heart Naptime today. I LOVE the Holidays and I especially love all of the fun Christmas crafting that can be had this time of year,  It was so fun to bust out the red and white the other day to work on this fun Candy Cane Wreath…

A few weeks ago Shelley from House of Smiths invited me over to her place to share a fun Halloween wreath that I had created that I aptly named The Candy Corn Wreath.  While I was working on that post I thought it would also be a GREAT candy cane wreath for Christmas too, and… it would be perfect for Jamielyn's Crazy Christmas Crafters!! It is soooo easy to make, anyone can do it.  Plus it really makes a statement.  Here is what you will need…

Come meet Elaina from the beautiful blog Flavour

It was one of those perfect English autumnal days which occur more frequently in memory than in life – P.D. James

As the days grow shorter, the winds get colder and the leaves fall from the trees, this is our surefire sign that autumn will officially be bidding us farewell very soon. But until the wonderful harvest from this bountiful season becomes scarce, I’m not giving up on autumn just yet.
