Friday Flair & Who I Am with Lowri from PaperVine

Who I am

Lowri from…

I am Lowri McNabb and I live on a vineyard in New Zealand with my husband and three small children. I don’t really do any of what you might call traditional scrapbooking, but hopefully I can give you a few neat ideas of gifts, albums and keepsakes you can make using paper, glue, regular household items and any scrapbooking bits and pieces you may have gathered along the way.

We have a really active crafting community here in New Zealand, and the advent of e-shopping and fabulous sites like Whipperberry have made it easy for us to tap into the wealth of resources available online.

I have a blog packed full of tutorials – mainly paper related but a few fun ideas for the kids and the odd cooking idea too! I would love for you to visit my blog and also Artfull Crafts – simply the best scrapbooking blog “Down Under”. We have a team of international artists who are sure to inspire you!

Here are some of my favorite projects…

{Click on the images to see the whole project}

Lowri is giving away a custom made cardset for one lucky WhipperBerry Reader. Here are a couple of examples of some she has made before for winners on her blog. The folders are filled with a set of 4 handmade cards and a whole heap of adorable extras such as gift tags and personalised note books.

Visit Lowri's Blog say hello and then return to WhipperBerry and leave a comment to enter to win this fun little gift from Down Under!!

Isn't Lowri a DOLL!!  I have been in love with all of her amazing projects that she has linked up each week on the Friday Flair and I am sooo happy to get to know her a little more.  ~thanks Lowri!!

Now it's Party Time!!!

It’s Friday Flair… show us what you have {Whipped-Up} this week!

Here are the sticky rules {you know rules are in place so that no one gets their feelings hurt or their eye poked out! So let’s play nice.}
  • Please link up only your own projects, and link to the specific post, not your blog home page. No Etsy shops or giveaways, please.
  •
  • You must grab a WhipperBerry button from the sidebar and include it somewhere in the post you’re linking, or on your home page (a text link is great too).
  •
  • Stay and mingle (remember, it’s a party!), and leave a couple comments for other guests!

Not all holiday gifts need to be ooey gooey sweet. Savory holiday gifts are just as lovely, sometimes even more so. I personally have been off sugar for 3 months now and I’m really nervous for the holiday season to arrive. Having the house fill up with sweets is NOT what I’m wishing for this Christmas. I would LOVE to get one of these Ball® Sharing Jar soup mixes as a gift. Not only are they soothing to the soul, but they are also good for you as well. - WhipperBerry @ballcanning #soupinajar #printabletags #souprecipe

Soup Mix Sharing Jars

This year, I’m working on all kinds of fun gifts for the Holidays that will look spectacular gifted inside of a jar. One of my favorites is the White Chocolate Ginger Scone Mix in a jar. It’s really easy to put together a whole bunch of these gifts and really not expensive at all. It’s always a bonus to save a little money during the holidays. @ballcanning #giftsinajar #neighborgifts #teachergifts #sconeinajar

White Chocolate Ginger Scone Mix In A Jar

As much as we hate to admit it, cold and flu season is on its way. There is nothing more miserable than one of those lousy winter colds. What’s almost just as bad is watching someone you care for dealing with a cold or, Heaven forbid, the flu! I’m always looking for ways to help cheer them up and let them know that we love them and hope for their better health. That’s when I came up with this idea for a Cold and Flu Rescue Kit to share with those loved ones that are suffering. • WhipperBerry

Not to knock commercially prepared applesauce, but when you have the opportunity to enjoy homemade applesauce, you will know the difference. It’s sweet and tangy with the perfect texture. Not to mention the fact that it harmonizes well with many different notes on your palette AND, it’s super easy to make! #applesauce #applesaucerecipe #homemadeapplesauce

Maple Applesauce Recipe + Maple Applesauce Overnight Oatmeal Recipe

I was recently introduced to a simple Roasted Garlic and Roma tomato sauce recipe from Ball® Fresh Preserving that I have been dying to try. I knew it was going to be a GREAT base for my favorite Israeli Shakshuka dish and boy was I right. Come learn how to make this fabulous sauce for your family.
