Friday Flair Link Party // Welcome to the weekend friends… It's FRIDAY!! This week I've been trying to recover from last weekend's Whatever Craft Weekend and prepare for SNAP next week. Jamielyn from I Heart Nap Time and I are teaching a class on Pinterest, so if you have any questions that you've been dying to ask, leave a comment and I will see if we can address it for you either in our class or I will post about it later for you guys who can't make it.

I've been obsessed with color this week. Finding new ways to add color and vibrance into our home. I learned last weekend at Meg's house that color really does make one happy. I, for one could use more color in my life! One way to add a pop of color is by creating a fun colorful wreath to your entry. I just adore this one from Positively Splendid…

Whatever Craft Weekend // Part One

Whatever Craft Weekend // Yea, I won the lottery, well I didn’t per say… Kristi from Barn Owl Primitives did, and she was kind enough to share her winnings! What did we win? A weekend at Meg’s Whatever Craft Weekend!!

What is the Whatever Craft Weekend. Several of you have asked over Instagram. Meg from the blog Whatever, has a house, a magical house that she opens up a few weekends throughout the year for a fabulous craft weekend. Her partner in this endeavor is Kimberlee and together these ladies pull off one of the best girls weekends I’ve ever had. They pampered us (we couldn’t even clear our dishes from the table), they made us laugh and most of all they inspired us! This Whatever Craft Weekend has become so popular in some circles that you have to add your name to the waiting list and then all of the participants are selected by a lottery sysytem. People have been on the list for over a year waiting for a spot. That’s why I feel like one of the luckiest girls out there!!

When we first arrive at the house you’re greeted with a smile and shown your room, and the minutes you walk in you are transported back to when you were a kid and life was just simple and magical…

Mique from 30 Handmade Days and the Queen Bee Market, Kristi from Barn Owl Primitives and Ashley from Little Miss Momma. These girls are amazing and I am truly blessed to be able to call them friends. Once we were settled, threw on our comfy outfits and Kimberlee treated us to her wonderful dinner, we got to work in the studio on our Whatever Craft Weekend Aprons…

These aprons are iconic and so fun to make. Meg has an amazing collection of fabric and goodies to use for all of the projects. Just take a look at one of the supply stations…

I wouldn’t say that I have amazing sewing prowess and this project made me feel like a sewing ROCK STAR!! That’s the magic of Meg’s creation.

If you can sew a straight line you can make this project. It was so fun to see everyone’s personalities come out in their fabric selection. Here are all of our aprons…

Everywhere you turn, you are treated with amazing eye candy. Color, textures and patterns are all over the place. The house is just so happy. The whole weekend truly inspired my passion for making things and in so many ways. For one, I realized I need more color in my life. Like I’ve said before, I think this year is going to be operation add color to my life. We all need color!!

Friday Flair Features // Happy Monday my friends! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. I'm running a little slow this morning after my Whatever Craft Weekend. Friday Flair Link Party // Well another week has come to end… It' FRIDAY my friends!! I am soooooo excited today. In a few hours I'm heading off to Newton, Kansas to meet Kristy from Barn Owl Primitives, Mique from 30 Handmade Days and Ashley from Little Miss Momma to join Meg for a WHATEVER Craft weekend!!!! I can't wait, this is going to be a fabulous weekend and I can't wait to bring you along with us. Join me via Instagram to catch all of the crazy fun.

This week has been a roller coaster… I've been working on several new recipes for my exciting new gig with Pillsbury.com. I will be joining their site as a regular contributor each month sharing some (hopefully) fresh ideas for fun new recipes. I can't wait to share what I've been working on this week. I've thrown a few hints out on Instagram this week… We'll see if you can guess what I'm working on. We've also been a bit under the weather here at the WhipperBerry house. Hopefully this lovely spring weather that we've been blessed with will break us out of the sickie funk.

Now, onto this week's inspiration… With the weather starting to warm up, the treats are starting to cool down. Funny how that happens. I'm actually kind of excited to start experimenting with some homemade iced sweet treats this summer so I thought I would get you in the mood as well. Keeping the Little Guy Fueled for Life’s Epic Adventures

Quaker's Epic Adventure // It's beginning to feel like everyday is an epic adventure these days. With four kiddos and a busy husband life is always full with a plethora of activities. Spring especially seems to get a little crazy after our winter hibernation. If you have school age children you know that your last few months after Spring Break are filled with all kinds of projects, assemblies and concerts. With all of these extra activities on top of our normal day to day routines it can become a little difficult to keep the family fueled and ready to go.

I especially have issues remembering that my little guy needs those little snacks to keep him happy and ready to roll on a moments notice…

Gage just turned three, and he's really good at it. If his tummy is rumbling, he's not a whole lot of fun to be with. The problem is, he's not quite old enough to know that when he's hungry, and he just needs to ask for a snack. It translates into a tantrum. The real issue here is that he is the caboose and has three busy older sisters so, sometimes his tummy needs can be forgotten about.
