Real Life Photography | Book Launch Party

0 · Jun 18, 2012 · 62 Comments

I am sooooo excited to be participating in Rebecca Coopers, "Real Life Photography" Book Launch Party this week!!!

For those of you who don't know Rebecca, she is one of my favorite bloggers over at Simple as That.  She is a Mom, blogger, stylist, photographer and soooo much more.  She makes her home in Alberta, Canada and has written several fabulous e-books about photography. The first two are 40 Tips for Better Photos and Don't Say Cheese. Both fantastic books!!   Her latest is Real Life Photography and it's a gem!

Rebecca's goal is to inspire people to… Remember to capture the precious simple moments in life that so often pass us by without so much as a nod.  She is a talented teacher who helps to demystify the camera and teaches you hone your photographers eye to capture those magical moments in life.  Here is a taste of what is in the book…

I love how the book is clean and simple, super easy to read and understand. Rebecca's style is well thought out, clear and easy to understand even for a novice photographer. It's also rich with content so even a more experienced photographer will feel enriched and inspired to take their photography to a new level.

Rebecca has also developed a set of fantastic actions called "Simple Fixes Actions" that go along with the book. What is an action you ask?  Basically it's a shortcut to performing a series of photo-editing steps.  Rebecca has created a recipe that when applied to a so-so photo can transform it into a photo that you can be proud of.  I LOVE the actions!! The actions are created for both Photoshop and Photoshop Elements and are super easy to use.

I love the e-book format. That fantastic instant gratification of being able to download it right away and dive right into learning!

The price for the book and action set is normally $12.99 each, but… they are offering a special introductory price of $9.99!!

If you purchase both together you can receive an additional 20% off if you use this coupon code, PHOTOFIX!!!

Rebecca and her fabulous publishers, Ella Publishing Co. are so excited about this launch, they have offered a copy of all three of Rebecca's books to GIVEAWAY to one of you guys… MY FAVORITE PEOPLE!!!!  To enter the giveaway follow each of the steps in the Rafflecopter form below…

Friday Flair | Link Party

0 · Jun 14, 2012 · 26 Comments

Hey guys… It's {almost} FRIDAY, time for Friday Flair!!

I'm currently knee deep in baby shower preparations for Sarah's shower on Saturday. No, she's not having twins… she has been blessed to adopt a sweet new baby girl and during the adoption process was blessed to also become pregnant!!  Her and her sweet honey have been trying for years, so they have been doubly blessed with two little girls who will be 3 1/2 months apart!! How fabulous is that? I've gone with a pretty nontraditional theme for this shower.  Here's a bit of a sneak peek…

That's all I'm going to share for now… The fun invite created by my friend Kristin with two cute cars {what cars for a girls baby shower?}  You'll just have to wait and see.  Below that, I have some Instagram pics of the party prep… cutting miles and miles of crepe paper to make fun tassels, and yes… dip dying paper plates and wooden skewers.  Going to need some fabulous skewers for everyone to indulge in some tasty Velata!! It's going to be sooooo fun!! I can't wait to share next week!!

Also, don't forget to enter this weeks fun Kaboo Bags giveaway… LOVE those bags!!

Now let's get the party started!!

Kaboo Bags | Giveaway

1 · Jun 14, 2012 · 31 Comments

The world has gone crazy for KABOO! The WhipperBerry house is no different.  After my last giveaway back in May my Daughter and friends have fallen in love with the entire line of Kaboo Tech Bags.

Riley Kaboo Bag Student Review

Hales my sweet High School Sophomore was drooling over my bag and it got me thinking… This is a perfect bag for today's students!  Many schools are actually requiring students to carry iPads or some type of e-reader to use rather than using traditional text books.  This creates an issue… how to safely carry your technology throughout the school day and look stylish as well. The fabulous folks at Kaboo Bags sent Hales a Riley in pearl for her to take for a test drive and she fell instantly in LOVE!!

The first thing she said was, "it has SEVENTEEN pockets!!" That makes it so easy to find all of your stuff. It also is big enough to carry your tablet or small laptop along with a notebook and all of your school stuff as well…

Hales says that it's perfect because you an have all your stuff at hand and the bag is not too big, so you don't look like a freak {her words, not mine.}  She also loves that the bag is so versatile… "it matches all of my outfits." She takes it with her everywhere, school, babysitting, church… She ADORES it!!  This bag is PERFECT for any high school or collage student who doesn't want to sacrifice style for functionality, and who wants to protect their tablet investment.

Kaboo Bag Giveaway

The wonderful people at Kaboo have offered one more bag for one of you guys!!! All you have to do is enter using the Rafflecopter form below…

Good Luck, if you just can't wait I highly recommend that you just run over and purchase a Kaboo bag of your very own.  I LOVE mine!! You can check out my review of the Olivia here.
