{The Corn Cob} A Cute Treat for your Halloween Parties

1 · Oct 3, 2011 · 43 Comments

From a very early age in my life I knew the principle of… "Presentation is Everything" was a very true principle. I was always on the look out for fun and innovative ways to WOW my friends and family with whatever trinket or goodie I was presenting them with.  The same holds true today.  You can take something simple and dress it up to make it something extraordinary!!  Case in point… the cute and humble candy corn.  Who's to say that you can't take a candy corn and turn it into a fun corn cob with just the simple addition of a push pop, a fun printable and some ribbon.  Now it turns the simple candy into a fun treat that could dress up any Halloween celebration!

How fun is this?  You can take a boring bowl of candy corns and turn them into a fun Corn Cob and now your Halloween table has a festive new addition!

{Lifestyle Crafts Review} DIY Holiday Gift Tags

0 · Sep 20, 2011 · 7 Comments

Far be it from me to put a rush on things… but whether we like it on not, the HOLIDAYS are around the corner!! My motto this year {yes, I am borrowing it from the Boy Scouts} BE PREPARED. The only way that we are going to be able to create a fun handmade holiday season is to start now and this is the perfect project to get a head start on… Holiday Gift Tags.

How many times have the gift tags become a forgotten item in the holiday decor?  Even worse, you are stuck with a store bought tag when you know that you could make some sooooo much better.

DIY Baby Gift ~ Portable Growth Chart Kit

111 · Aug 3, 2011 · 107 Comments

I grew up with a Mom who religiously made those cute little tick marks inside a door frame every year to mark our growth.  Sadly when we moved we didn’t get to take the door frame with us.  Sooo, I thought I would make a portable growth chart kit for my kiddos that can stay on the wall or be tucked away and taken out on special occasions.  Here is what you need…

Valentine Cookie Cartons

heart shaped chocolate chip cookies

I am in love with Valentine’s Day this year.  I just can’t get enough of it and all the fun creations that come with it.

Again… packaging is everything!!  I made some fun heart shaped chocolate chip cookies the other day, and thought this would be a fun Valentine goodie, but what should I put it in?

WB 026

I found these lovely cartons at a restaurant supply store here in Vegas, they were super-cheap and I knew I could dress them up!

WB 047

I designed a logo for the front of the carton which I printed on sticker paper,  basically one large label. You can find them at your office supply store. I then created a topper for the lid, and voila, done.  A perfect little container for my sweet little heart shaped delights!

Oh… and just because I {heart} you, I am going to share my printable for the Valentine cartons!! {Click on the image to download.}
