{The Corn Cob} A Cute Treat for your Halloween Parties

1 · Oct 3, 2011 · 43 Comments

From a very early age in my life I knew the principle of… "Presentation is Everything" was a very true principle. I was always on the look out for fun and innovative ways to WOW my friends and family with whatever trinket or goodie I was presenting them with.  The same holds true today.  You can take something simple and dress it up to make it something extraordinary!!  Case in point… the cute and humble candy corn.  Who's to say that you can't take a candy corn and turn it into a fun corn cob with just the simple addition of a push pop, a fun printable and some ribbon.  Now it turns the simple candy into a fun treat that could dress up any Halloween celebration!

How fun is this?  You can take a boring bowl of candy corns and turn them into a fun Corn Cob and now your Halloween table has a festive new addition!

Here is what you will need…

  • Push Pops ~ You can find these online several places, here's a link to an etsy shop that has some for a very reasonable price.
  • Candy Corn
  •
  • Sticker Printer Paper ~ I use Avery White Full Sheet Label 8165
  •
  • Martha Stewart Circle All Over Punch {Optional}
  •
  • Fiskars Extra Large Circle Squeeze Punch {Optional}
  •
  • Ribbon
  •
  • Coordinating Scrapbook Paper
  •
  • The Corn Cob Printable

{Click on image to download the printable}

Fill your push pops with your candy corn and then print your labels on the white label paper.  Cut out the label {I use the Fiskars extra large circle punch} and carefully place on the push pop.

Next, I cut a smaller circle by either tracing the lid or using the Martha Stewart all over circle punch for the top of the push pop using some coordinating scrapbook paper. Glue to the top of the lid.

Now all you have to do is add a cute bow to the base of the push pop. You now have the cutest Corn Cob EVER!!

Some other ideas for your Halloween treats…

These chevron mini favor boxes from Party Starters?  A must have for your Halloween celebration! Aren't they cute?

I used a fun chicken wire basket to display my Corn Cobs.  All I did was turn it over and it turns into a perfect Corn Cob holder!!

Now here is a Corn Cob that I wouldn't mind eating at a party.  You don't have to worry about stray kernels getting stuck in your teeth, how embarrassing is that?

    these turned out so cute. We love candy corn in our little house. We actually just made candy corn infused whipped cream… yum. I just bought some of the push pop containers, and I love that you used candy to fill them up.

    Heather… I love this idea and the adorable printable to go with it! I have been a fan of your blog, and I am so impressed that you comment back on all your comments. You totally don’t have to answer this, but how do you set that up? I just started my blog and can’t figure out how to reply back to a specific comment. Anyway, I love all your creativite projects and thanks for sharing them with us!

      Holly thanks so much for the sweet comment! The reply button is feature that is a part of my WordPress theme. If you are on Blogger I know that you can create something like it, but it is rather advanced. That is quite honestly one of the reasons why I switched to WordPress, it’s a little more blogger friendly! Good Luck!

        Thanks for your quick response! I know a lot of bloggers are switching over to WP… we’re still so new at it that we will probably stick with what we know for now 🙂 I love the layout and functionality of your blog. Everything looks great. Have a fun weekend!
