Friday Flair Link Party // Well, it's FRIDAY friends!! Time for a little R&R this weekend. We are about to head into the last week of school and I have all kinds of things on my to do list before the kiddos are home all day. I am totally looking forward to the summer, but a little nervous at the same time. When we were in Vegas we had our normal summer routines and being in a new place I'm not sure how the routine is going to shake out. Do you ever worry about that kind of stuff? I'm weird about that kind of stuff.  I need to be mentally prepared and then I'm just fine.  The unknown, unnerves me. 

Anyway, I'm loving Spring here in Lincoln. I go outside every morning to water all of my plants and I fall more and more in love with this place. The whole idea of it NOT being 100 degrees at 6:00 am is just so lovely!! My neighbor has several lilac bushes and it brings such an amazing aroma into my yard. I LOVE the smell of fresh cut grass too! I haven't really had either one of those scents in my life for quite some time. I'm loving it. 

This weeks inspriation comes from a sweet friend of mine. I had the chance to meet her at Haven last june and she is just a DOLL. Seriously, one of the cutest ladies I've even met. She created a fabulous guest post several months ago for WhipperBerry on how to make a sail cloth shower curtain. To DIY for! (get it, to die for!!)  LOL!!  Her name is Kari and she is from Thistlewood Farm and she made the most amazing Bicycle Wheel Wall Clock that I think is one of the most creative projects out there in blog land right now. She is one super talented lady!!

I am just loving what you can do with old bicycle wheels. Yesterday, I posted a sneak peek at what I'm working on with my old bicycle wheel. I can't wait to see how the final project pans out. Friday Flair Link Party // Soooooo, this week started off a little odd. Hales a.k.a. Lil'Whip was in a minor car accident… She's fine… but dealing with whip lash, which I'm learning is no fun. We've been busy going from doctor appointment, to doctor appointment. Poor girl. In the mean time I've been working on some fun painting projects to share and I've continued working on my backyard makeover. I can't wait to have that finished up… it's going to be so fun. If you follow me on Instagram, you've seen all the goodies that I've been working on, little snippets here and there.

Isn't it fun?! I love the contrast of the aqua and black with the fun rain drops… it's just stunning. I'm getting ready to paint a few pieces and this has definatley helped me to start thinking outside the box.

Friday Flair Link Party // It's Friday friends!! This week has been so crazy weather wise. Monday and Tuesday I was outside spray painting my heart out for a new project that I'm working on.  It was sunny and warm, perfect Spray painting weather. Wednesday, the Mother Nature decided that she wasn't quite finished with winter, and Thursday morning we woke up to snow. It was actually quite pretty with the green against the lovely white snow…

Mother's Day Idea // It's FRIDAY!! Wowza, April is just flying by. It probably doesn't help that I've been traveling like crazy with my Whatever Craft Weekend and SNAP events. I'm ready to slow down and bit and start work on dressing up my backyard for Spring. I have big dreams for the little red barn, we'll see if I can make any of it happen. I can't wait to have those lovely summer evenings out in the yard, slowing down, cooking over the fire and enjoying family time together. Let's see we have Mother's Day coming up quickly.
