Lunchbox Notes /// Kiki & Company

24 · Sep 20, 2012 · 2 Comments

Hi everyone! I am so happy to be here today at Whipperberry. My name is Kiki and I blog over at Kiki and Company.

I am thrilled to be here helping Heather out as she gets ready to move her family across the US and it really inspired todays free printable. I don't know about you, but one of my favorite things to do is put a little note in my kids lunch, hide one in their backpack or put one on their freshly made bed. I love the reaction my kiddos give me. They always come home with an extra big hug when they found a little note that brought a smile to their face. Today I whipped up a few for older kids (and it will of course work for younger ones as well!). They are little sentiments of inspiration to help them get through those jr. high hallways, high school classes, or in Heather's case..those first days being in a new school. (I am even printing some off to keep in my purse in case one of my OWN friends needs a little boost!)

You can pick up the notes RIGHT HERE and start spreading some smiles!

If you would like to grab more of the free Lunchbox series, you can find them HERE at my blog.

You also don't want to miss FREEBIES every month in my newsletter..you can sign up for it on my sidebar!

Thanks for having me, Heather. I will miss you more than words can say here in Vegas.. those Nebraskans are truly hitting the jackpot!

Isn’t Kiki just divine? I am totally going to print some of those Lunchbox Notes for my kiddos to have while we are going through the moving process.  I’m sure they are going to need it!

I’ve been lucky enough to call Kiki a, “in person” friend as well as an “online” friend.  She is the sweetest person out there and I’m truly going to miss having her close by.  She is a real talent, that girl!  Make sure you bookmark Kiki & Company {if you haven’t already} because she does some aaaamazing work!

It’s everyone’s favorite time of the month… Silhouette Promo time!!

Silhouette September Promotion

Not only does this month have a KILLER deal… it has an aaaamazing new product that I have fallen head over heels in love with!! It is  Gold an Silver Printable Foil along with a White Printable Sticker Paper!!  How COOL is that!

I raided my local Target’s Halloween section and found some fun platters and other little odds and ends and made a fun Halloween door or wall hanging with some of the silver printable foil…

I found the coolest printable images in the Silhouette Online Store for the top and bottom graphics and then designed one of my own using Rhonna Designs Spooky Junque kit for the middle graphic.

I just LOVE it!! The Printable foil is my new favorite toy with my silhouette, you can do so much with it.  All you have to do is find or create a print that you just love, print it on your printer with the registration marks which then allows the Silhouette Laser to detect the image and then cut it out on the CAMEO.  Is your creative brain working in over drive right now?  Think of all the things you could do… Labels for all your jars, beautiful artwork for your mantle, your Christmas gifts are going to be out of the world this year!!

I topped my creation off with a ribbon and tulle bow embellished with a Styled by Tori Spelling Silver Glitz Pendant and some great skeleton hands from Target.

Friday Flair Link Party /// Apple Edition

1 · Sep 13, 2012 · 52 Comments

It’s {almost} Friday… The weekend is almost here, so it must be time for Friday Flair!!

So… to say that life is a little crazy right now is a bit of an understatement. Here’s the scoop.  My husband has been looking for a job for several months now after a bit of a job scare earlier this spring. He had a job opportunity come up that we thought was a bit of a long shot, but after some discussion we decided it would be good interview experience if nothing else.  He had his first interview before we went to Hawaii and then they scheduled a second interview for when he returned.  Still, we thought it was a long shot. Long story short… HE GOT THE JOB!! The crazy part it’s in Lincoln, Nebraska and we have to be there by October 1st. We basically have three weeks to find a home, pack up the house, style a wedding, withdraw the kids from school, manage the blog… what’s that you say? Yea, While packing up the home and family, I have a wedding that I’ve been working on for months now on September 28th. EEEEEEEK!

It will be fine.  No stress at all. I can do anything right?  With that said… I may need to take a little time to get life settled for the family.  I have a few people who have offered to guest post for me and they are fabulous!! I am going to take a little break from Friday Flair, so after this week the next Friday Flair will be October 11th. Don’t forget me… I will be popping in as often as I can and I promise to come back with some aaaamazing creations for you once we get settled in Lincoln. I will be on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram if you want to follow the craziness of #whipperonthemove you’re more than welcome to join us for the ride.  Better yet, bring a few boxes with ya when you come!

In the mean time, if you have a fabulous post that you would like to share, feel free to submit them to me here.  I will select a couple as guest post while I am madly trying to pack the family up! You are all wonderful… I adore you all! Wish me luck… I think I may need it!

Now on to this weeks inspiration photo…

September is all about the glorious apple to me.  I love the apple harvest and all the goodies that come with it.  This recipe from Sukaina from Sips and Spoonfuls looks divine and I can’t wait to give it a try this month.

Now who’s ready for the PARTY?

It’s Time for Friday Flair!!

How to take YOUR Blog to the Next Level with BlogFrog

0 · Sep 13, 2012 · 2 Comments

When I started WhipperBerry two years ago, I had no idea where this ride would take me. I was looking for a creative outlet, a way to push myself, to hone my skills and to hopefully in turn… meet some amazing people and inspire others.

Without question, the ride so far has been aaaaaamazing! I have met some wonderful people and have had the opportunity to do some incredible things. Looking back I realize that, even though I am generally working on content on my own, developing recipes, creating projects, taking pictures and writing posts… I haven't done this all on my own. I've had incredible blog partners like BlogFrog along the way!

Many bloggers start their blogs writing about something that they are passionate about. Somewhere along the way they realize that they would like to take their blog to the next level. They would like to build a stronger community and possibly start working with brands that make sense with their blog niche. How can they do that?

I I was lucky enough to meet Rustin one of the creators of Blogfrog along with several members of his crew at Blogher 2011 in San Diego and I am so glad that I did!

I was just a little tag-along with Jen from Tatertots & Jell-o who had been invited to a dinner with Blogfrog. The dinner was incredible… {No, not the food, just standard mexican fare…} I had the chance to get to know several of the Blogfrog crew and I kid you not, they have helped me take WhipperBerry to places I never even imagined when I first started. Here is a little video about Blog Frog…

What I love about BlogFrog is that they work really hard to create meaningful engagement with their audience. When they offer a campaign opportunity, there is no pressure for me to take the campaign, I can carefully select what is right for me and for YOU my readers.

I didn't start blogging to become another commercial… I started blogging to create a community and to share my creativity. However, blogging is hard work, it costs money. If you aren't a blogger you may not realize that to keep WhipperBerry running, I spend on average about $300 – $500 a month to keep my blog going. I have to pay for a company to host my blog and I have to purchase supplies for all my posts among other expenses. Blogging is not free by any means.

I appreciate that BlogFrog has created an amazing company that has helped me take my blog to the next level. I can accept a few campaigns here and there to help cover the costs of the blog and then I can focus on creating great content to share with you. I quite frankly think that… BLOGFROG ROCKS!!

As a part of the BlogFrog Influencer Circle, I have the chance to create meaningful, authentic content for brands I love. If you’re a blogger interested in new opportunities, join BlogFrog’s Influencer Circle and check out some of the top brands already working with BlogFrog.

If you’re a brand looking to work with online influencers, learn more about BlogFrog’s Brand Solutions here. Now, I’m curious. What do you love most about blogs and blogging?

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of BlogFrog. The opinions and text are all mine.
